I’m looking for a certain theory regarding Child Development…?
I’m doing my Child Development final paper on the childish innocence kids possess – that happy-go-lucky, no worries attitude. I know it’s because they aren’t 100% aware, but I’m looking for a specific theory on that aspect of their cognitive development. WHY they don’t worry, etc. Does anybody know of a theory about this? Thanks!
You could look into Piagetian theory. Piaget was keen on stages and children progress through stages. The childlike behavior you suggest could probably blend somewhere in the pre-operational stage.

maybe because their frontal cortex isn’t fully developed yet – they don’t think of the future and consequences etc. also they engage in make believe play…but that is to prepare themselves for future life. but they do worry (ie thats why the cry, don’t want to leave playground) and are not happy-go-lucky all the time so i’m not quite sure what your getting at.
